Essential Oil Infused Chocolates// Ganach
1 Package of good quality chocolate chips
1/2 Cup heavy whipping cream
1 stick of butter
Cocoa Powder for dusting
10 Drops Young Living Essential Oils (Read the label to make sure they are safe for ingestion)
I did half the batch with 5 drops Orange and the rest with 5 drops peppermint
Make a double boiler by adding some water to a sauce pan and then placing a glass bowl over top of it. Let the steam rise to warm the ingredients to melting.
Place the chocolate chips, cream and butter in the bowl and continually stir to fully melted.
Divide half of the mixture in to another glass bowl and then add the essential oil of your choice to each half.
Take two cookie sheets and line with parchment paper, one for each flavor.
Pour and spread the chocolate on to the pans till evenly smooth.
Place in the freezer to cool and harden.
Once cooled, spoon out some cocoa powder and sprinkle over all of it to help them not get so stuck together.
Take a pizza cutter to them and cut to about 1 to 2 inch pieces.
Store in the freezer till ready to serve as they get very soft.
In the hot summer I even chill the plate that I will serve them on so they don’t melt as fast.
Warning: Not all essential oils are planted, cultivated, harvested, distilled and bottled in the same manner.
